Laugh ....

I am 4 mths old now. Everybody comments how chubby I am ... sigh ... what to do ??? I get nutritious milk everyday (ahem .. mama eats all sorts of stuff). Anyway, I am "learning" how to laugh. Mama and Dada think it's funny ... hey ... it's good to learn all sorts of expressions. Might come in handy. Learnt how to scold too !

I'm 3.5 mths old now. Been with my babysitter for 3 weeks plus now. It's good there cos there are 3 girlies to talk to me. One of them has been taking pictures of me on her camera phone. hee hee ... I look good with my hat on. Gotta get Mama to take 1 picture of me with the hat on. I am sure girlies will swoon ....

Mama's gone back to work and that's why my blog isn't getting updated regularly. I do apologise to all my fans. Must talk to this manager of mine .. getting slack. *tsk* *tsk*

Mama decided it was time for someone else to feed me. She said it was a practice session before I go to my babysitter's next week. So Dada fed me for the first time !

My brother, Nigel

My big brother is really sweet. One morning, Mama asked Nigel to look after me whilst she was in the kitchen getting things ready for me. Nigel talked to me and even tucked the blanket for me. I, of course, kicked it off and Nigel proceeded to tell Mama , "Mama, Matthew's tootsies are peeking out of the blanket !". Anyway, he played with his Lego and told me all about them.

i was a happy baby on sunday morning. had my milk and was watching mama read the papers. then of course, true to my ellis genes, i had to strike up a conversation. mama talked to me and played peekaboo with me.

mama got an even wider-grin picture of me that she took on her phone-camera. she sent it to aunty V and .. aunty V said i had "hamster cheeks".

i seem to be accumulating nicknames .. chunky monkey, hamster and mama calls me "pork chops".

Mama brot me to a TCM centre yesterday. my nose is still giving me problems and it has been a while already. Aunty Kristy, mama's friend, recommended this baby massage (in Chinese, it's tui-na) and said it helped her daughter alot when she was a bb. The physician said I had a sensitive nose and dust & fluff affects me. Anyway, her assistant gave me a massage on my left hand & arm before massaging my front and back. I gave the assistant a hard time yesterday. Today, I was a lot more cooperative altho it was hard to keep still. Mama had to keep talking to me and I was good enough not to lick my lips for milk !!

Anyway, I have one session to go, on Thursday. I have to be massaged 3 times first before deciding if I needed to continue. I hope my nose clears - it's hard to suckle on Mama's breast when my nose is blocked !

sigh ... i had to see that doctor again. my stuffy nose didn't seem to be getting better and doc suspected i caught another round of germs. had that awful tube sticking down my nostrils again. oh boy .. i wailed !

anyway .. i got weighed again :) hee hee .. i am now 4.4 kg at 6 weeks. quite an achievement isn't it ?? aunty vivian called me a hamster on sunday becos of my cheeks. hmmpf ! i don't care .. i enjoy my milk on tap.

my big bro

This is a picture of me and my big brother. He wanted to carry me this morning so Mama put me on his lap and asked him to hold my head up. hmmpf ! Of course he didn't so I wasn't too pleased and made it known.

Anyway, my big brother loves me alot and thinks I am really cute. What more can I, this little brother want ???

i had to visit the PD twice last week to get the mucus sucked out of my little lungs. not pleasant experiences. anyway, i am happy to report that i weighed in at 3.5 kg on my first visit and four days later, 3.8 kg. yup ! i managed to gain lots of weight already .. from my puny 2.65kg.

i've acquired the double chin look and according to mama and dada, living up to my name of chunky monkey.

I am nearly 1 mth old

I am nearly a month old now. :) Mama took me to the PD today to have a look at my noisy nose. :( it wasn't a nice trip. The doctor stuck a thin tube down my nostrils and sucked out a whole lot of yucky stuff !! And that is supposed to make me feel better.

Anyway, I got weighed and am now 3.5 kg. Hee hee .. that's nearly a kilo I've put on since birth. Mama says I've got a double chin and chubby cheeks.

哥哥Nigel and I celebrated a special occasion yesterday. He celebrated his 5th birthday whilst I celebrated my first month. We had a cake each :p.

Bath Time !

weeee .... baths are nice .. only when the water is warm !! i get all nice and fuzzy after baths and lie on the bed to wave my arms about. hey ! i enjoy while i can. who's gonna be scrubbing your back when you've gone past toddler age ?? (erm, unless you count second childhood).

This is my tenth day ... so far I've been a good little boy. My night time routine is a little more settled so Mama's managed to get more sleep in. :)

I'm getting my milk on tap which Mama is quite pleased since kor-kor Nigel wasn't able to do. Hey .. it's more fun this way. Mama's found out about one of my scams - she calls it S & S, suckle and sleep. That's when I don't really want to drink some more but I want to get a cuddle and go sleepy-bye, then I do my stick-my-tongue-out routine to get the tap. Heh heh ... and when I do get the tap, I promptly suck and fall asleep. ;) oooo .. life is wonderful ...

Hello everybody,

I am Matthew JingYang Ellis. I am Nano's little brother, born on 8th August 2007. I came a little bit early into this world but that's okay. Like what Great Uncle Bob and Great Aunt Joy says, I have a lifetime to grow.

Everyone thinks I am a cutie-pie. Mama keeps shaking her head ... I wonder why. So far, most people say I look like Dada. Do I ??
